Everything to keep in mind before you enter the competition.

Before sharing your work with Writers’ Sky, please go through these general guidelines carefully. They explain the key requirements, responsibilities, and standards expected from every participant.

1. Originality
  • All entries must be the original work of the participant.
  • Submitted work must not be copied, fully or partly, from books, websites, social media, magazines, or any other source.
  • Plagiarism in any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • If an entry is found to be copied even after publication or announcement of results, it will be removed and disqualified.
2. Format of Submission
  • Entries must be submitted only in PDF or JPG format.
  • The file must be clear, complete, and readable.
  • Blurred, cropped, incomplete, or unclear files may be rejected.
  • Participants must upload the correct file in the correct format.
3. Number of Entries
  • Only one entry is allowed per participant.
  • Multiple submissions from the same participant may not be accepted.
4. Word Limit
  • The word limit depends on the category of the competition.
  • Participants must strictly follow the word limit announced under their category.
  • Entries that do not meet the required word limit may be rejected.
5. Deadline
  • All entries must be submitted on or before the announced deadline.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
  • Participants are advised to submit early and not wait until the last minute.
6. Theme and Category
  • Entries must match the theme and category announced for the competition.
  • Entries submitted under the wrong category or outside the theme may be rejected.
  • Categories may be decided or grouped based on the entries received, if announced so.
7. Language and Content
  • Entries must be written in the language(s) specified for the competition.
  • Content must be respectful and appropriate.
  • Entries containing abusive, vulgar, hateful, or offensive content will be disqualified.
8. Fair Participation
  • The participant must be the true author of the submitted work.
  • Entries submitted on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
  • Any false information or misleading claims may lead to disqualification.
9. Editing and Resubmission
  • Once submitted, entries may not be edited, replaced, or resubmitted, unless Writers’ Sky officially allows it.
  • Participants are requested to review their work carefully before submission.
10. Publication of Selected Entries
  • Writers’ Sky may publish selected entries on the website, social media pages, or other official platforms, or as a digital magazine or in printed format.
  • Proper credit will always be given to the writer.
  • By submitting an entry, the participant gives Writers’ Sky permission to publish, display, and promote the selected work in these formats with due credit.
  • The author will continue to own the original work, but Writers’ Sky may use it for competition-related promotion.
11. Judging and Results
  • Entries will be reviewed based on originality, creativity, clarity, relevance to the theme, and overall impact.
  • If audience-based selection is announced, selected writings may be published, and the entries receiving the highest audience support/hearts may be declared winners according to the competition rules.
  • The final decision of Writers’ Sky / judging panel / announced selection method will be final.
12. Disqualification

An entry may be disqualified if:

  • it is copied or plagiarised
  • it is submitted after the deadline
  • it does not follow the word limit
  • it is submitted in a format other than PDF or JPG
  • it contains inappropriate or offensive content
  • it does not follow the announced rules
13. Technical Responsibility
  • Participants are responsible for submitting the correct file and details.
  • Writers’ Sky is not responsible for failed submissions caused by poor internet connection, incorrect uploads, or incomplete submissions by the participant.
14. Respectful Creative Space
  • Writers’ Sky is a platform created to encourage writers, especially beginners.
  • All participants are expected to respect fellow writers and maintain a healthy creative environment.
  • Any misuse, harassment, or disrespectful behaviour related to the competition may lead to removal from participation.
